Coffee
that feels
like home

Small-batch espresso, pastries baked before dawn, and the kind of quiet morning that makes you slow down. Welcome to the table.

Rooted in the
meadows of Maine

Marmee Dearest Espresso began as a quiet conviction: that a cup of coffee should do more than wake you up — it should settle you in. On Main Street in Kingfield, we built a space where the rhythm matches the pace of the mountains outside the window.

Every espresso is pulled from locally roasted beans. Every pastry arrives from our kitchen before the bell rings. We measure success not in cups served, but in moments lingered.

Three things
we refuse to compromise

People first

We know our regulars by name. We remember how you take your coffee. The space belongs to whoever walks through the door — not the other way around.

Source honestly

Every bean has a story — the farm, the roast, the journey here. We choose partners who care as much about the process as we do about the cup.

Take your time

There is no rush here. Stay for the conversation, the quiet, the slow morning light. The coffee will be ready when you are.
